Gwen Stefani admits No Doubt hiatus is partly 'her fault'

No Doubt fans were devastated when the band went their solo ways and hadnt produced an album since 2001. Now, with a new album on the shelves, Gwen Stefani admits that the halt in No Doubt's progress is mainly her fault.

According to Zap2it, Stefani expressed in an interview with Guardian that life got in the way of the group coming back together as musicians.

It's hard to schedule itWe're actually ahead of schedule -- lots of babies made, lots of stuff that we've done ... I think it was mainly my fault! she confessed.

Continuing she adds, It just feels so much more natural being back in this mode. The solo records allowed me to indulge my girly side but it was never meant to be taken seriously," she says. "It was just like an art project that kept going longer than I expected. The group never ended -- we always knew we'd come back to make this album."

Prior to their new album, Push and Shove, the band put out Rock Steady in 2001, Billboard reports.

Push and Shove celebrates the band's take on '80s pop and traditional Southern California punk-ska scene.

The album hit shelves Tuesday, September 25.
