Being a mum is hard, says Gwen Stefani
New York, Sept 5 (ANI): Motherhood hasn't exactly been an easy ride for Gwen Stefani, who releases her first album in 11 years with her No Doubt bandmates later this month.
The 'Don't Speak' singer spent the past several years embarking on a solo career and working on clothing and fragrance lines - all while raising two boys with her rocker husband, Gavin Rossdale.
Essentially, "being a mom is hard," the New York Daily News quoted her as telling ELLE UK.
"[They want] to have time to be themselves as well but ... there's a price to pay," Stefani said of working moms.
"Like today, I'm here talking to you and my son is at the beach. It would be super fun to watch his little four-year-old chunky legs running around, you know," she said.
Stefani graces the cover of ELLE UK, posing for a 10-page photo shoot, wearing designs by Mary Katrantzou, McQ by Alexander McQueen and Christopher Kane.
She said that fashion has long been one of her pleasures, but when it comes to balancing work and raising her sons, Kingston, 6, and Zuma, 4, the Orange County, California, native admits it's a constant struggle.
"There are always days that somebody suffers.
"The only thing I really worry about is, again - like, I keep bringing it up because it's my biggest stress - how do I do this and that? How do I do both? So that's like the constant battle that I have every day," she added. (ANI)
