Gwen Stefani: 'No Doubt reunion exhausting'

Gwen Stefani has admitted that she struggled to balance the No Doubt reunion with her family life.

The singer, who has sons Kingston and Zuma with husband Gavin Rossdale, revealed that the band's other commitments meant it was difficult to finish their upcoming record.

Stefani told the Daily Record: "We were only able to get together three days a week and, because I had the kids, there was only a limited amount of time.

"I was exhausted by the time I got there, so it was a struggle trying to weigh and balance everything out with the kids. But it was that fight that made the record so great."

Comparing it to her solo career, she continued: "I went round the world with Kingston on my own and that was really hard. I was nursing him for 14 months so I would nurse, go on stage and wake up through the night and on the bus, and it was just like, 'What am I doing?' It was so hard."

Guitarist Tom Dumont added that No Doubt's experiences of parenthood influenced their new album Push and Shove, which is released on September 24 in the UK and a day later in the US.

Stefani recently suggested that new single 'Settle Down' summarises the struggles that No Doubt have faced in recording their new LP.
