Gwen Stefani struggled to juggle family life and the reformation of No Doubt

She said: "We were only able to get together three days a week and, because I had the kids, there was only a limited amount of time. "I was exhausted by the time I got there, so it was a struggle trying to weigh and balance everything out with the kids. But it was that fight that made the record so great." Gwen particularly found it hard touring as a solo star when she just had Kingston. Gwen added: "I went round the world with Kingston on my own and that was really hard. I was nursing him for 14 months so I would nurse, go on stage and wake up through the night and on the bus, and it was just like, 'What am I doing?' It was so hard." All of Gwen's bandmates are also now parents, and guitarist Tom Dumont has said their experiences helped shape their new album, 'Push and Shove'. He said: "There's a lot of kids between us so we're pulled in many different directions but we're so proud of this record and we put a lot of time in...

Busy mum Gwen Stefani exhausted by No Doubt album recording

I was exhausted by the time I got there, so it was a struggle trying to weigh and balance everything out with the kids. Gwen Stefani ditches the lipstick for a natural look

Image
Gwen Stefani s bright red lipstick is so much a part of her daily look that shes even been spotted jogging in it! So the fact that the singer seems to be shaking off her style signature is coming as a bit of a shock. While Gwen swapped the fire engine red for a punchy shade of magenta earlier this week , it looked as though shed ditched the loud lips altogether yesterday while out in New York City. Though the No Doubt beauty reapplied to perform on US show Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, were intrigued by this natural look. Working well with her slicked back topknot, Gwens barely-there make-up (what we can see of it around those huge sunnies anyway!) brought a laid-back freshness her face. Gwen Stefani Makes Us Want To Buy A Jaguar Print Suit

Image
Gwen Stefani in New York City.Photo: Splash News Gwen Stefani, can we please BE you? (No seriously, can we?!) The No Doubt frontwoman, LAMB fashion designer, and House of Style guest star makes pretty much anything she throws on look ridiculously stylish, whether it's a beat up tank top or head-to-toe designer swag. But when we spotted the singer out and about in New York City wearing a jaguar-print Blumarine pantsuit yesterday, our jaws literally dropped . We're fans of denim-on-denim here (after all, you may have heard we're on a MAJOR '90s kick these days ) but matching animal prints is a little harder to pull off... and she kills it. She paired the triple jaguar ensemble with classic black pumps, red lips, and sleek side-parted hair. This outfit is amazing enough as is, but let us remind you that it's been scorching in New York City this week- we're talking 90 degrees- so the fact that Gwen is decidedly non-sweaty is absolutely mindblowing. Also, can ...

2:16 PM PDT 7/23/2012 by Sophie A. Schillaci After weeks of speculation regarding American Idol s revolving door of judges, Fox announced on Monday that Mariah Carey has officially signed on for the singing competitions next season. Many members of the media had predicted Careys participation (shes managed by fellow Idol judge Randy Jackson ), while other contenders reportedly include former Idol contestant Adam Lambert, Gwen Stefani, Miley Cyrus and more. Earlier this month, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler officially exited their posts after two seasons, while it remains to be seen whether Jackson will stay with the program. Its sad to see them go, but if theyre gonna pick a new bath of judges, I think that its a really great opportunity to find some people that really can give some great, great advice, season 10 second runner-up Haley Reinhart told The Hollywood Reporter at Sundays Teen Choice Awards. Track Review: No Doubt, 'Settle Down'

NO DOUBT"Settle Down" (6:01)Producer: Spike StentWriters: G. Stefani, Tony Kanal, Tom DumontPublishers: by World of the Dolphin Music (ASCAP)Interscope Records It took No Doubt a solid decade to finish their comeback album, "Push and Shove," and that prolonged effort immediately shows on the disc's first single, "Settle Down." The aggro-pop quartet crams as many hooks as possible into its long-awaited new song, which finds Gwen Stefani adjusting to unfamiliar circumstances but declaring that she'll be fine; after all, she is "a rough and tough." Sonically, the band balances reggae flourishes with Tony Kanal's kinetic bass movements, creating a forceful continuation of their "Rock Steady" singles. The difference between "Settle Down" and No Doubt hits like "Hey Baby" and "Hella Good" is how hard the group has to work on their new cut: melodies are snipped while others are shoehorned into place, a...

Stefani, Michelle Obama host fundraiser

Gwen Stefani is to host a fundraiser with Michelle Obama. The No Doubt singer will stage a 'Family Day' with the US First Lady at Gwen's Beverly Hills home on August 12 and a family of four can join the party for $US1,000. A $US5,000 donation gets the family extra time with Gwen and Michelle, wife of President Barack Obama. It is not known whether Gwen's sons, Kingston, six, and three-year-old Zuma, or Michelle's daughters, Malia, 14, and 11-year-old Sasha, will be at the event. The 'Family Day' is part of Barack's re-election campaign, following recent parties co-hosted by Sarah Jessica Parker and George Clooney. Gwen - who is married to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale - recently has moved decisively into activist philanthropy, donating $US1 million to aid children affected by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan. She also has staged a series of online auctions of vintage items from her own fashion-forward wardrobe to benefit children's causes.
