Which Tween Queen Spent the Long Weekend with Gwen Stefani?

It's been a hella good long time since anyone's heard a new No Doubt album. (Eleven years, in fact.) But the veteran pop act's primed to make their return, with a new disc on the way (it's due September 25), and their first live TV performance already on the books. They'll play the Teen Choice Awards July 22 -- never mind they're all 20+ years from teenaged. But you're only as old as the company you keep, and lead singer Gwen Stefani's been holding court with a total teen queen: Selena Gomez. Stefani and Gomez were both photographed at a Memorial Day beach BBQ this weekend. To be fair to both of them, it's not as though they were hanging out for pure market research purposes (that we know), and Stefani was there with husband Gavin Rossdale and their two fashion-forward tots in tow. Both pop stars were on the Malibu beach for Hollywood producer Joel Silver's annual long-weekend bash -- and going off the photographic evidence, the guestlist also i...

Jury To Hear No Doubt's Video Game Row

Gwen Stefani's band No Doubt have won the latest stage in their battle against video games publisher Activision and their portrayal in Band Hero. They have been given the right to go before a jury to say they believe they were misled by the video gaming giant about how their likenesses would be used. No Doubt sued the California-based video games company in November 2009. They claimed the band were never told that players would be able to unlock avatars of themselves to perform other artists' music. They cited instances in Band Hero in which players could use Stefani to perform suggestive lyrics from the Rolling Stones' hit Honky Tonk Women. Players could also watch a virtual version of bassist Tony Kanal sing his band's hit Just A Girl, but with Stefani's voice. The lawsuit claimed the feature turned the band "into a virtual karaoke circus act". Activision claimed the idea of "unlocking" unadvertised features of a video game had been around sinc...

No Doubt sue video game company

People News May 30, 2012, 4:01 GMT No Doubt are suing a video game company No Doubt have gained the right for their lawsuit filed against a video game maker to go to trial. The group fronted by Gwen Stefani, 42, was happy to hear that their complaint against Activision for allegedly exceeding group members' contractual likenesses in Band Hero is going to court. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ramona See denied the Santa Monica, California-based company's petition to throw out the case which means the sides should appear in front of jury later this year. No Doubt sued the game maker in 2009, accusing them of allowing players to manipulate the quartet's individual avatars in ways they would never have acted in real life. They claimed it violated their publicity rights and turned them into a 'virtual karaoke circus act.' The original complaint stated that such manipulations include 'unlocking' mechanisms that gave gamers the ability to have Gwen's computer...
