Rita Ora Channels Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Style In Japan

Rita Ora Channels Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Style For Japan

Beanies + bling, oodles of leopard print and that platinum blonde bouffant, Rita Oras style cues are easy to trace. The singer has long confessed that she takesstyl-spiration from '90s pop queen Gwen Stefani, revealing that theNo Doubt front woman inspired her to become a red lipstick lover. 'When I saw it on her, I thought she was the prettiest person in the world,' she says. Bless!

Now that Rita's a style star herself, you'd think she wouldn't need any style steerage - but oh no! The popstrel took to Instagram last night to prove she's still channelling her idol Gwen, especially for her appearance in Japan. With her hair pulled into tight twisted buns on either side of her head and her lipstick redder than ever, Rita told her fans, ':) just for #japan thanks gwen #orginalstarter.'

Of course, Gwen championed the Harajuku look when she launched her solo career back in 2009, most memorably rocking out with a gang ofJapanese cheerleaders in the video for Hollaback Girl. Gone was the boho gear and bindis that we saw for Don't Speak and in their place were kimono-inspired! rompers, neon prints and cherry blossoms in her hair. So now that she's taking Japan by storm, who better for Rita to channel thanHarajuku Gwen?

The question is: will Rita become the Gwen Stefani of 2013? Inspect the musicland fash-off in the gallery below...
