Turbo Top Knots! Lady Gaga, Tulisa, Gwen Stefani and Nicola Roberts with HIT Christmas hair trend heres how:
Lady Gaga, Daisy Lowe and now Nicola Roberts have all donned Turbo Top Knots this week
Lady Gaga may have taken her Turbo Top Knot to extremes back in October (if anything its more Iced Gem than nice style gem) but it seems shes sparked a whopping great HAIR TREND.
Which is very exciting indeed.
Nicola Roberts, Tulisa, Sienna Miller, Gwen Stefani and Daisy Lowe have ALL been turbocharging their top knots in recent days, shunning blah ballerina buns for WHOPPING great up dos. That look a bit like Walnut Whips.
Lady Gaga got their first (naturally) wearing a multi-coloured Turbo Top Knot in Japan
Gaga's so sold on the style, she's worn it again this week
Top knots (aka a bun that sits on top of your head) have been a style staple with everyone from Miranda Kerr to Michelle Keegan for a couple of seasons now. But this week the fash pack have made them bigger and better than ever and just in time for party season.
Nicola Roberts is the latest star to get knotted, wearing hers high and mighty at Heathrow today
Dont have a celeb stylist on hand? Us neither. So we asked the experts just how the rest of us can cook up one of Tinseltowns hottest buns at home.
Gwen Stefani wore her TurboTop Knot while running errands with the kids earlier this weekHairs How To: The Turbo Top Knot
Alison Dace, from the Saks Art Team says:1] Loosely place a ponytail at the crown area. Use Loreal Professional Air Fix Hair Spray 7.60 to slightly wet and slick.
2] The hair in the ponytail is then back brushed from the underneath, and lightly smoothed by running a soft bristle brush over both surfaces.
3] Place an elastic band at the bottom of the now back brushed ponytail to secure the ends.
4] Wrap the ponytail around the base of the ponytail to create the bun like flat round shape, when the shape is correct clip in using Kirby grips.
5] Remember when clipping try to make them invisible by placing them towards the centre and underneath the bun.

Toni & Guy stylist to the stars Cos Sakkas gives his Turbo Top Knot tips
Cos Sakkas at Toni & Guy has these top tips:
Apply Toni & Guys Casual Sculpting Powder before putting your hair up to give excellent grip at the roots as well as giving hair a feeling of thickness and texture, to make it totally workable so your bun stays strong."
Next comb the hair back into a ponytail. Backcomb the ponytail to achieve a volumous bun, follow by twisting the hair around on top of the head and pin into place."
Sienna Miller opted for a glossy Turbo Top Knot - proving the style is red carpet worthy too
*TIP* The secret weapon in creating Siennas and Gwens perfect buns, is Toni & Guys extreme hold hairspray from the creative collection. To keep the bun in place I use the hairspray liberally throughout the steps to ensure nothing moves.
Daisy Lowe opted for a mussed-up Turbo Top Knot - simply bundle your bun atop your head
