Gwen Stefani When Gwen Stefani enters a recording studio, it is customary for the horn players awaiting her to begin playing "The Imperial March." We learn this key factoid and a few more nuggets about the first No Doubt album in 11 years from the band's latest studio webisode, which was posted early this morning and captures longtime collaborators Gabe McNair and Stephen Bradley adding some of their horny flair to several of the new LP's tracks. Based on this latest peek inside the studio, we know now Push and Shove does indeed feature trombone and trumpet Stefani proclaims there are more horns on Push and Shove than there were on the band's last album, 2001's Rock Steady . Also, guitarist Tom Dumont seems almost jealous of McNair and Bradley's "freshness" and "excitement" even though they've been playing with the band since 1993 and 1995 respectively. That should give fans an idea of just how long this band has been in the ...

Gwen Stefani juggles kids, music, fashion

Gwen Stefani is no stranger to multitasking, juggling her music career -- she's wrapping up a new album with No Doubt -- and her fashion projects, which include the debut of the recent Harajuku Mini collection for girls at Target. But, Stefani says, it's her sons that mostly keep her on her toes. Some days, running Kingston, 6, and Zuma, 4, back and forth to school, doing homework and tucking them into bed seems to take up the biggest part of her day. "I like to be with them whenever I can, of course," the 42-year-old singer-designer says. Her mother was very hands-on, and Stefani says that's what she's striving to do. Some of her favorite memories include wearing Holly Hobbie bonnets and velvet dresses with lace collars that her mother made for her. Stefani has been designing her LAMB line for women for nine years, so, she says, this collaboration on a children's line came pretty easily because she knows the design and manufacturing process, has more idea...

Jury To Hear No Doubt's Video Game Row

Gwen Stefani's band No Doubt have won the latest stage in their battle against video games publisher Activision and their portrayal in Band Hero. They have been given the right to go before a jury to say they believe they were misled by the video gaming giant about how their likenesses would be used. No Doubt sued the California-based video games company in November 2009. They claimed the band were never told that players would be able to unlock avatars of themselves to perform other artists' music. They cited instances in Band Hero in which players could use Stefani to perform suggestive lyrics from the Rolling Stones' hit Honky Tonk Women. Players could also watch a virtual version of bassist Tony Kanal sing his band's hit Just A Girl, but with Stefani's voice. The lawsuit claimed the feature turned the band "into a virtual karaoke circus act". Activision claimed the idea of "unlocking" unadvertised features of a video game had been around sinc...
